Accounting Operations
Program Length: 900 hours/approx. 9 months – full-time, online
Learn double-entry accounting principles, methods of recording business transactions, preparation of financial statements, payroll records and tax forms, account and transaction analysis, inventory methods, the accounts receivable aging process, depreciation, and the application of accounting principles to various entities.
Administrative Office Specialist
Program Length: 1050 hours/approx. 10 months- full-time, online available
You will learn the skill to be able to perform basic office activities, data processing activities, and manual and computerized accounting activities using QuickBooks, Excel, and various other software packages
Business Management and Analysis
Program Length: 900 hours/approx. 9 months full-time, online
You will be taught communication skills, accounting concepts and practices, business law concepts, leadership skills, business computer applications, business ethics, governmental regulations, human resources and management issues, financial and data analysis, database development and queries, and career development.
Legal Administrative Specialist
Program Length: 1050 hours/approx. 10 months- full-time, online available
You will be taught the skills to perform legal office duties utilizing knowledge of legal terminology and legal office procedures; to transcribe legal documents; to perform legal office functions; to produce quality work using advanced features of business software applications.
Medical Administrative Specialist
Program Length: 1050 hours/approx. 10 months- full-time, online available
You will be taught the skills necessary to perform medical office duties utilizing knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures; to transcribe medical documents; to perform medical office functions using specialized medical scheduling/billing software; to produce quality work using advanced features of business software applications.
Real Estate Sales Associate Pre-License
Program Length: 63 hrs / 9 weeks
The Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) requires anyone wishing to obtain a real estate license in Florida to complete FREC Course 1, commonly referred to as the 63-hour Sales Associate Pre-license course. The 63-hour course consists of 60-hours of classroom instructional time and a 3-hour window for the end of course exam. There has never been a better time to get started in real estate!
Industry Certification & State Credential Exams
Industry certifications make you more employable. You will be prepared to take an approved state and/or nationally recognized industry certification or licensure exam in your field of study.
College Credit Transfer Opportunity and/or Advanced Credit
Upon completion of the program and meeting eligibility requirements, including the attainment of an aligned industry credential, students may be awarded credits toward an Associate Degree by Broward College or the Florida College System. Students must enroll in Broward College within 2 years of completing their program at Sheridan Technical College. Additional college credit may be awarded with the attainment of additional industry credentials. Students must enroll in Broward College within 2 years of completing their program at either Atlantic, McFatter or Sheridan Technical College. Additional college credit may be awarded with the attainment of additional industry credentials.
