Advanced Esthetics

The Advanced Esthetics program is designed for registered Facials/Skin Care Specialists within the state of Florida who wish to enhance their skills in order to be more readily employable by the Spa Industry, Medical Offices, Plastic Surgeons and Medi-Spa Industry.

This program offers a sequence of courses that provide coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education. We will provide technical skill proficiency, higher- order reasoning and problem solving skills, along with work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation specific skills. The program is designed to familiarize the student with the current new trends in the field of Esthetics and help to meet the demand for personalized care and Therapeutic treatments.

The content includes, but is not limited to: communication, leadership, human relations, and
employability skills; safe and efficient work practices, spa therapies, advanced peels, exfoliators,
microdermabrasion, micro-current, LED therapy. Students will also become familiar with advanced esthetic procedures and wound care, medical terminology, nutrition and its effects on
the body and appearance.

Prerequisite: Must have a Facials Specialty Registration
